Hello to all, I hope the year is, and will be, kind to everyone.
At this writing, the turkeys are quite vocal, and the hens are keeping the Toms busy in the field behind the house. Remember to go get that turkey license and try and spend some quality time in the out-of-doors…take a young person and let them experience it as well.
There is going to be a general membership meeting at Jay’s Outback Room on May 22, 2022, at 12:00 PM.

The new “ Grant Gobblers “ Charter Chapter is located in Newaygo County.
The North-Central Chapter’s 24th annual banquet was a huge success with many happy gun winners. Take a look at the pictures posted on the Facebook page. Also, check out all those happy kids…isn’t that what it’s all about?
The North-Central Chapter has purchased 31 steel barrels and is currently having them converted into turkey feeders. There should be many available for next winter’s feeding program.
This winter there was approximately 20 tons of corn distributed for feeders in Clare, Gladwin, Isabella and Midland Counties…So, I think the turkeys are indeed happy…oh, yes, and delicious!
