I hope all are doing well these days, and this finds you all as healthy and happy as can be. Did everyone harvest a spring turkey? I hope so, at least get in the woods, or take someone hunting who hasn’t before, it’s extremely rewarding, especially for kids.
I hope everyone got out there and had a successful turkey hunt this Spring. We don’t get a Fall hunt in Clare County, so that was a no-go. If where you are has a Fall hunt, I hope it was successful as well.
Well, the year is off to a very snowy start…November 3 and we had about 4-5 inches on the ground and more just a coming down; currently all that snow is gone but then it got just plain cold.
At this writing, the turkeys are quite vocal, and the hens are keeping the Toms busy in the field behind the house. Remember to go get that turkey license and try and spend some quality time in the out-of-doors…take a young person and let them experience it as well.
Well, it’s been a while since the last newsletter because the virus has pretty much shut everything down. However, last year’s winter feeding program still went on without a hitch, I’m glad to say.
