For many years Don participated in the Rendezvous by being the master of ceremonies for the turkey calling championships, which always ran smoothly. Each year I would call him prior to the Rendezvous, he would answer the phone with a chuckle and say yea yea I’ll be there.
With Don’s passing, Michigan’s hunters, anglers and those who just enjoy the out of doors have lost a true champion.
