Participation in the program requiresa minimum $15 donation/membership to the TB Chapter and is only available to those attempting to assist wild turkeys in Area J (Antrim, Otsego, Charlevoix, Cheboygan, and Emmet Counties). Thirty day supplies of shelled corn are allotted to each member depending upon the number of birds in need of assistance. A measure of 1/4 pound of shelled corn per bird per day is used to decide how much corn is distributed to each member. Please check with neighbors beforehand to make sure that the wild turkeys in question are not being fed by anyone else.

The TB Chapter would like to stress the importance of NOT feeding deer, which is illegal in Michigan, and recommends that elevated platforms, trailers, or other methods be employed to ensure no deer are able to reach the feed. Members receive ONLY enough corn to ensure the survival of the wild turkeys being assisted, not enough to feed deer as well.

Please do not contact either business location for more information, call Frank Hersha at 231-588-6169 for further assistance.
